We live about 15 minutes from Castlewood Canyon State Park, so we thought we would go check it out and do a short hike.

Weekend vacation to Steamboat Springs!
We took a weekend and went to Steamboat Springs for a little family time!

We took the kids to their first rodeo. They had an event called the "Ram Scramble" where kids under five can chase a sheep and try to get the ribbon off the sheep for a prize. Richard took Ryker down and told him what to do then let him loose into the arena with the other kids. He is so shy we expected him to cry and not want to participate, boy were we surprised when he ran right out there with the other kids and as soon as they let the sheep loose he ran right after it, cheating, because they hadn't told the kids they could go after it yet. The older kids beat him to the sheep and he didn't get the ribbon, but later when we asked him why he didn't get the ribbon he said he was just trying to pet the sheep! the pictures didn't turn out very well because I was so far away, but he is the one in the blue striped shirt with lights on his shoes.

Guess who thinks he can shovel snow in July and in his swim trunks?
Guess who thinks he needs to use the potty like his big brother? (I might get him potty trained soon!!)
